It’s crazy to think that music is something that lives at the roots of each of us. Music is filled with emotion and feeling. Music makes us happy, it makes us sad, it pumps us up, it levels us out. Everyone has a song for a different occasion. Workout music? You bet! Feeling down and needs a pick-me-up? We’ve got those too! Whether you are pregaming for the night ahead or dealing with the loss of a loved one, music is there to comfort us. We live in a beautiful world where noise can be altered in different ways to create even more sounds. The even greater part about music is that everyone hears something different. I don’t mean in the sense that you physically hear something different, but that song could mean something totally different to someone else. You most often see it between generations, but you see it many other places too, like where you’re from. One person likes country and another is dead set on Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra. There’s people who like many different forms of music and there are others that mainly like one. My own personal opinion is that no one person will like only a single genre of music as that is too narrow for any individual. They may be hesitant and resistant to other genres but the beauty of music is that genres can be blended together to create hybrid genres. Music is what makes human.
